Did Stewart write this song? I think it's one of his most powerful.
Does anyone know why it sings of a room "ABOVE" the street instead of
just a room "ON" the street?

By "Above' the street, I presume he means second floor. Also,
according to Allmusic, it was written by Sterling Whipple.
