WISH ME AWAY- THE FILM

This is a unique moment in our country. While the tide of history may
be turning in favor of gay equality, there are those who are still
resistant to change. Out of the turbulence of social change that
creates distance among us, comes a voice that touches all of us.

This film chronicles the story of the first performer to emerge from
the world of country music to tell her story in a very public way,
facing a culture that rejects those who do not conform to its
carefully marketed image.

Wish Me Away will transform hearts and minds with a character who
speaks the language of someone born and raised in the Heartland, the
daughter of conservative religious parents; a girl whose only dream
was to be a country music star. But she happened to be gay.

Why don't these people just go away. Give them Africa or something,
but just go.
