Is this statement really necessary? Her relationship with her mother
is none of our business.I agree with you, Coop, the issue isn't about Joe Galante's mother.
It's about how well Joe Galante does his job for fans.
Most record-industry BTOs like Joe Galante don't think like that. To
them, fans are just the stupid suckers who buy their records.
But Joe Galante has a responsibility to record-buying fans, just like
he has a responsibility to the greedy Germans at Bertlesmann.
If you tied Joe Galante down and forced him to talk honest, he might
tell you he never bargained for fighting back against pornsters and
blackballers. He just wanted to be in the music biz and make records.
My point is that it goes beyond what biz you're in. It's like...are you
real? Are you human?
If you drove down the highway and saw somebody lying by the side of the
road, bleeding to death, would you stop and try to help? Some people
would say...No, not my job. Don't want to get involved. To me, they're
not real or human.
To me, if you see a young entertainer like Mindy being screwed royal,
you gotta stop and help. Joe thinks he helped. But he didn't.
He certainly didn't help Mindy's many fans, who still don't know what
the hell happened to her. Joe Galante screwed the fans. So now it's
time for fans to screw him.
