In the studio working on his first Cd, DeeRay Garcia has finally
came full circle. Garcia has a very unique sounding voice in that
its ,between country and rock but, really neither. listnening to a
track out-take of a Floyd Tillman 's song " This cold war". Garcia
says that he wants to get back to his roots of solid country gold, that
he grew up playing. " there is no better time than now to bring back
music from my past to the now present.Along, with producer and bass
guitarist Dick McVey ,he (Garcia) is trying to caputure the sound of
an era gone by,with atouch of todays sound. I have never thought much
about cutting my own material, until I worked a show with singer-
songwriter Dale Watson from Texas. He heard this song I wrote and
really liked it. I thought he might want to record it but instead,He
said "You should cut that your- self",so we worked it out in the
studio and put on this record.Asked about what is the most exciting
thing he liked in the studio,he replied, getting Hoot Hester to play
fiddle on my record.Dick has brought in some top notch guys to to the
project. Mike Baker,(Guitar ) , Bob Angello, (Steel guitar,) John
Heinrich, (Sax) . Mike Shrimphf,( Piano),(Mark Beckett) Drums. This is
going to be a great record,I will be updating the progress as it
happens
The release Date is set for Aug. 09

How wonderful. Just what White people need - a greasy Indian/Mestizo
polluting country music. Can't wait until he "helps" country music
"evolve" by incorporating mariachi music into his performances!
Celebrate divershitty!
Probably the only thing useful Johnny Rodriguez taught him was how to
steal goats and slaughter them in the backyard.

Remember the Alamo!
