real, heartbroken place). --MC

Very saddening news today. Tim Johnson, the sole writer of one of the
best songs of all-time, "I Let Her Lie" (recorded by Daryle
Singletary), has passed away from complications due to multiple forms
of cancer as of 1:30 this morning (time according to Jimmy Wayne). He
put up such an amazingly strong fight. To talk to him you would think
absolutely nothing was wrong, though organizations had established
funds for his fight even back in 2010. He had such a positive energy.
And had played a show as recently as two months ago. Though I only
saw
him very sporadically at various songwriter shows throughout the
years, he remembered me every time. A sweet person. Such a very sad
day for anyone who's ever had their lives touched by good music.
