Country star: "I'm Gay"

Here's a clip from tonight's interview with country singer Chely
Wright, who was joined by Lance Bass to talk about the difficulties of
coming out as gay. Do you this will help or hurt Wright's career? Feel

Chely Wright's problem is not her sexuality. Ten years ago she was one
of the hottest chicks on the planet (still is) who happened to sing
country. The problem was her music sucked. "Back of the bedroom
drawer","Sticker on the SUV", please! Theres more cheese there than in
Wisconsin. "Drawer" and"SUV" have the same melody and hook, the
formula didn't work either time. Country music fans are hard core,ya
can't just look good ya gotta deliver. Martina McBride is a classic
beauty, and Sara Evans could be in Playboy, yet they deliver the hit
songs and thats all that matters at the end of the day. Gretchen
Wilson had a promising career but lost it after that cheesy "Come to
bed" song, seriously, do grown couples really talk that way to one
another? I hope not. What Chely Wright suffers from is not sexuality
or lack there of, but Nashville correcting itself. If ya can't deliver
you're gone, and thats the way it should be. Coming out as gay has
lost its shock value years ago. And with even the most rural areas now
with internet access and satalite radio, its getting harder to stand
out. Ok Chely's hot, and now a lesbian. The fantacies of threesomes
with girls I personaly know that go both ways is endless, yet if she
doesn;t deliver a good album, it'll be an over night sensation ending
in the morning. The only thing left to do is get a cold shower and go
get the morning papers, and stay tuned for the latest hot country
chick. The woman in the group 'Lady Antabellum" is hot, but since the
group is cranking out decent music, her sexual orientation is a non
issue. At least for now.
